About

TUESDAYS AT THE PALM, TFF CINEMATHEQUE at the WILKINSON PUBLIC LIBRARY, and TFF PRESENTS

Tuesdays at the Palm is a collaboration of the Telluride Film Festival, Palm Arts and the Telluride R-1 School District.  It is an educational film series, free and open to the public, where students and locals are given the opportunity to see great films once a month at the Michael D. Palm Theatre in Telluride.  Students are given curriculum/discussion ideas that they can share with their families. The Festival sees this as an opportunity to give back to the community of Telluride that so generously lends its resources once a year to the Telluride Film Festival.

Telluride Film Festival Cinematheque is a collaboration between the Telluride Film Festival and the Wilkinson Public Library.  This “film club” caters to the local Telluride cinephiles who want access to Festival quality cinema year round – for free.  All films are hosted by a moderator.  Each four-part series explores a theme such as the French New Wave, Film Noir, etc.

Telluride Film Festival Presents is another program designed to give back to the Telluride community.  Once a month, the Nugget Theatre hosts a “one night only” screening of a current, Festival-quality film.  This popular SHOW is always filled with audience members who want to see the best of the best.  Each screening begins with an introduction from a Ringmaster who rounds out the experience by giving the audience a little something extra, and notes are provided for every film.
